The list is made up of restaurants and bars I frequent. Any establishment that is not listed simply means it's not one of my favorite places and not that there is anything wrong with the place. I am a non-smoker and tend to stay away from places that allow smoking.

I can't stress enough that the Florida sun shows no mercy. Please make sure you wear the appropriate sunscreen before spending even a short amount of time outside.

Three good beach picnic ideas
Beware of aggressive seabirds that love to swoop down on unattended food. Cover food if you get up to swim, hunt shells or throw the Frisbee. Do not feed the birds; that only makes it worse for you and the next group that comes along.

Beach Spring and Summer Alcohol Restrictions
The Treasure Island City Commission has passed an emergency ordinance prohibiting the possession of alcohol along a certain stretch of beach during certain days and hours. The restrictions are Saturdays, Sundays, Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day from 8am till 6pm.

Going to Treasure Island Beach be careful what's in that cooler
It's mid February, and in past years that meant thousands of college spring breakers jamming Sunset Beach streets and neighborhoods, and, of course, the beach near Caddy's bar and restaurant.

Pedestrian Flags Make Gulf Boulevard Safer
Unless you live on the Gulf side, crossing Gulf Boulevard to enjoy a few hours at the Beach without pedestrian safety measures could be scary, especially when Tampa has been dubbed tops on the list of cities to incur traffic accidents.
